New Year's Eve celebrations can be some of the best parties of the whole year. But if you drink during this year's annual event, please take advantage of the Sober & Safe Campaign.
The HELP (Havre Encourages Long-range Prevention) Committee, in conjunction with the Hill County Tavern Association, the Hill County DUI Task Force and the Montana Department of Traffic Safety, is in it's fourth year of sponsoring the Safe & Sober Campaign.
The campaign, which has the ultimate goal of saving lives, is made up of three elements; Designate-a-Driver, Host Responsibly, and New Year's Eve Home Free.
Many Havre businesses have donated to this worthy cause to ensure that everyone has a good time New Year's Eve and that they all return home safely to enjoy 2001.
Please be safe this New Year's Eve. If you plan on drinking to bring in 2001 be sure to have a designated driver see you safely home. We, at The Havre Daily News, want to see you in the 21st Century.
