The District 5C Blue Sky Eagles (1-2) downed the Rocky Boy Stars, but fell to the Box Elder Bears in conference play on Wednesday.
At Rocky Boy, the Eagles swept the Stars 15-5, 15-5, 15-13.
Senior Eagle Monica Groth had four aces and Shilo Burkhartsmeyer added three of team's 10 in the match.
Blue Sky freshman Heather Wendland, at 5-foot-10, tallied two blocks. The Eagles had four in the match.
Groth and sophomore Cassidy Han combined for 12 of the Blue Sky's 25 kills in the contest.
Freshman Natalie Strissel of Blue Sky collected seven of the Eagles' 14 assists.
At Box Elder, the Bears handed the Eagles a 3-1 loss. Box Elder won the match 9-15, 15-12, 15-10, 15-7.
The Eagles notched 18 aces for naught, led by Strissel with six.
Han tallied a team-high eight kills, and Burkhartsmeyer had five assists in the match.
Thursday, the Chester Coyotes handed the Eagles a 15-0, 15-2, 15-1 loss.
Chester sophomore Michelle Van Dyke tallied a game-high 14 kills in the win. The Coyotes had 32 kills in the contest. Devan Lalum and Katy Engstrom added six apiece.
Blue Sky was led by Strissel who had three kills.
Megan Matson and Jamie Graham of Chester had six assists apiece in the conference win.
Burkhartsmeyer tallied four of the Eagles' eight digs, while Chester, who had 26 digs, was led by Carlane Jensen with six and Trisha Hilton with five.
Wendland tallied three blocks, while Chester's Van Dyke had two and Jensen tallied one in the win.
Blue Sky will host District 5 opponent J-I at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10.
Saturday, Box Elder will host a three-team tournament with Rocky Boy and Chester. Play begins at 10 a.m.
