The J-I Rams volleyball team dropped matches to Big Sandy and Sunburst Friday, but went on to defeat Blue Sky in District 5C action Monday.
The Big Sandy Pioneers defeated J-I 12-15, 15-10, 15-8, 15-5 in the early match Friday.
Angela Peek had four aces, five blocks, nine kills, and four saves to lead the Rams.
Kari Tempel had 10 assists in the match.
The Sunburst Refiners swept the Rams 15-12, 15-10, 15-7.
Peek had four assists, one block, six kills, and two saves to lead the team.
Allison Jochim also had one block, and Cari Fusk and Laine Lybeck combined for 12 assists in the match.
Michelle Adams had a team-high four saves.
J-I defeated Blue Sky 2-15, 15-10, 15-5, 15-12 in conference play Monday.
Cari Fusk and Kari Tempel combined for six aces for the Rams.
Monica Groth had two for Blue Sky.
Cassidy Han of Blue Sky had two blocks, while Jochim, Tempel, and Peek tallied one apiece for J-I.
Peek had a game-high 11 kills in the match to lead the Rams.
Natalie Strissel and Han combined for 14 kills for the Eagles.
Shilo Burkhartsmeyer tallied seven saves to lead Blue Sky, while Julie Moog and Peek had three apiece for the Rams.
