Chester Coyotes def. Big Sandy Pioneers 15-3, 15-9, 15-5
The Coyotes remained perfect in the District 5C with a three-game sweep of the Pioneers Friday.
Michelle Van Dyke had a game-high 13 kills and three blocks for Chester. Katy Engstrom and Carlane Jensen tallied five apiece in the win.
Jamie Graham and Megan Mattson split up sets, with nine and five apiece, respectively. Mattson also led the team in digs with 12, while Engstrom added five. Graham tallied seven aces and Van Dyke, five, in the win.
Blue Sky Eagles def. KG KouGars 15-13, 15-12, 15-13
Blue Sky edged KG in District 5C volleyball action Friday. Natalie Strissel had nine kills to lead the Eagles. Cassidy Han and Jessica Patrick added eight apiece in the win.
Han tallied two aces, and Strissel and Han had eight and seven assists, respectively.
Jennifer Siefert tallied 14 kills for KG, she also had eight blocks, and 12 digs to lead the KouGars.
Patrick and Han split up blocking responsibilities and tallied seven of the team 10 in the win for Blue Sky.
Ashley Melby had four aces and Darci Stewart had three for KG.
