It was a great way to wrap up the regular season as the Havre High Blue Pony wrestling team defeated No. 1 Class B/C Conrad 44-19 in a dual Saturday night at Havre High.

At 98 pounds, Ryan Chagnon lost by decision, 6-3.

Nick Newell got the job done at 115 pounds as he pinned his opponent at the 1:05 mark.

Havre's Travis Velk won by major decision, 15-4, over C. Gernant.

At 119 pounds, Chad Hedges fell to Z. Lockyer in an 8-4 decision.

Chad Maney, at 125 pounds, won a 16-3 major decision.

Nick Holt ran all over his opponent, pinning D. Ahmed in just 49 seconds.

At 135 pounds, Jake Szudera handled J. Newmiller, winning by a 12-6 decision.

Cody Hanson wrestled well as he pinned B. Vandenburg at the 3:34 mark in their match.

At 145 pounds, Aaron Jenson won by decision at 7-2.

Garrett Hanson battled with D. Jones but lost a close one, 4-3, by decision.

Blue Pony K.P. Fisher, at 160 pounds, spent no time at all in dispatching B. Berthelson. Fisher won by fall at the 1:40 mark.

At 171 pounds, Nick Bostic lost in a major decision, 10-2, to E. Jones of Conrad.

C.J. Reichelt won by fall over J. Brown at the 2:16 mark in their match at 189 pounds.

In the heavyweights, Cliff Springer was pinned at the 3:41 mark of his match by T. Mauzy.

Havre High head coach Scott Filius said his team wrestled well. The last few times Havre has wrestled Conrad in a dual tournament, Conrad has made it close by picking up a lot of pins. Filius said he was pleased to see his team only give up one pin.

Hanson probably had the biggest win, Filius said. His win will probably give him the No. 1 seed in this weekend's Central A divisional tournament.

The Havre Blue Ponies get the chance to stay at home this weekend after a long road schedule. Havre will be hosting the Central A divisional this weekend at the high school.
