Chinook grapplers pick up two wins

MALTA -- The Chinook Sugarbeeters were at the Malta Duals on Friday and picked up two wins.

Chinook won 52-18 over Wolf Point and then 42-35 over Shepherd.

Against Wolf Point, at 105 pounds, Chinook's Clayton Parsons fell by pin.

At 119 pounds, Ben Parsons pinned Kale Garfield for the win.

Will Haugen pinned Nick Degarlais at 130 pounds to pick up points for the 'Beeters.

Thomas Maddox won by technical fall at 135 pounds.

At 140 pounds, Chinook's Chris Anderson won over Josh Toews by decision.

At 142 and 152 pounds Chinook picked up wins by pins. Chad Drugge and Ted Crowley both won by pinning their opponents.

Kyle Butcher won by decision at 160 pounds over Mike Bell.

Mike Maddox, 171 pounds, won by decision over Paul Geysler.

At 189 pounds, Josh Miller pinned Jory Erickson for the win.

Against the Wolves, Mike Schnittgen of Chinook won by forfeit.

The 'Beeters then dueled Shepherd.

C. Parsons lost by decision to Tyler Miller at 98 pounds.

At 119 pounds, B. Parsons won by pin. Haugen won at 130 pounds by decision over Emory Willson.

Chinook's Maddox won by decision over Levi Longmire at 135 pounds.

At 140 pounds, Anderson was pinned by Neil Thompson.

Drugge won by forfeit at 145 pounds.

Crowley was pinned at 152 pounds by John Stark.

At 160 pounds Butcher pinned Kasey Lenwher of Shepherd.

M. Maddox picked up another win at the duals, this time by pin. Maddox pinned Jim Peil at 171 pounds.

Miller made it two pins as he put Nathan Willoughby's shoulders on the mat in the 189 pound clash.

In the heavyweights, Schnittgen got to wrestle and he won by pin over Darell Carter.

This weekend wrapped up Chinook's regular season and they will head for Divisional in Shelby this weekend.
