It was the best up against the best in District 5C volleyball action last Friday.

The Chester Coyotes answered with a 15-13, 15-9, 15-4 win over the previously undefeated Sunburst Refiners.

Chester stayed perfect at 7-0 with the win to lead the district, while Sunburst slipped to 7-1 in the conference.

The Big Sandy Pioneers are 5-3 and have remained solid this season.

The KG KouGars and J-I Rams are 3-4.

However, KG dropped a 15-3, 15-2, 15-4 match to Chester last Thursday, while J-I picked up two wins.

The Rams defeated the Rocky Boy Morning Stars 15-11, 15-10, 15-4, and went on the defeat the Box Elder Bears 15-6, 15-5, 15-8 in conference action.

Box Elder is 1-6 in the league and Rocky Boy is 1-6 at the bottom of the district.

The Blue Sky Eagles are 2-5 and will face both Rocky Boy and Box Elder on Thursday in conference action.

Chester will play at Big Sandy on Friday, and Rocky Boy and Box Elder will play at Chester on Saturday.

Other conference matches include, J-I at Sunburst, and Big Sandy at Blue Sky.
