The Chinook Sugarbeeters fell to the No. 1 Glasgow Scotties in five games 4-15, 8-15, 15-11, 15-12, 16-14 in District 2B conference play at Chinook on Saturday.
"I was really pleased with the way we played," Chinook head coach Paula Molyneaux said. "We had our chances to win it, but we just couldn't capitalize on it."
Katie Hoffman led the Sugarbeeters with 28 digs and 14 kills. Kelsie Whitney had five aces and 18 assists in the match.
Jacy Sheppard had three blocks, while Renda Birky contributed 14 kills.
"Offensively, we are starting to make some things happen now," Molyneaux said. "We are passing fairly consistently which helps. They are gaining some confidence in themselves, so they know they can play with just about anybody."
The Sugarbeeters defeated the Poplar Indians 15-8, 16-14, 15-8 in conference play on Friday.
Sadie Fuglevand and Amanda Schoen had three aces apiece for Chinook. Schoen also led the team with 16 digs.
Birky tallied three blocks and 12 kills, while Whitney notched 13 assists.
"They played really well this weekend," Molyneaux said.
