Donna J. Martin, 59, a resident of Havre and former resident of Malta, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at a Havre care center of brain cancer.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Martin was born Aug. 25, 1940, in Broadus, to Jim and Emma (Jacobsen) Smith. She attended school in Miles City and Saco where she graduated in 1958.
On Sept. 7, 1961, she married Bill Martin in Helena. The couple later divorced.
Martin enjoyed gardening, flowers, nature, her cats and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the outdoors, flower and vegetable gardening, pranks, and hunting for agates.
She was preceded in death by a son, Norman Martin in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Cori Martin of Bozeman; sons, Todd and Zachary Martin of Havre; her mother, Emma Driver of Malta; her father, Jim Smith of Great Falls; sisters, Bonnie Smith of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Sandy Nelson of Malta; brothers, Al Smith of Winnemucca, Nev., Dan Martin of Bozeman and Tom Martin of Malta; and several nieces and nephews.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
