COLUSA, Calif. Jean Hickel, 60, died Friday, March 17, 2000 at her home of cancer.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday in Colusa.
Hickel was born Feb. 27, 1940 to Paul and Alvina (Luoma) Faber in Havre. She received her education at Faber School and Havre Central High School.
Hickel married Roger D. Hickel on Sept. 1, 1958. They lived in Chinook and Turner until 1969 when they moved to Colusa. Hickel was employed by Zumwalt Travel for two years. She then went to work at Colusa Tractor Co. as a bookkeeper and retired in 1998 with 24 years of service.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in March 1999.
Hickel enjoyed her family, sorority, camping and the California coast around Fort Bragg.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 1993 and a brother, Don, in 1972.
Survivors include her husband, Roger, daughters, Peggy Scroggins and Carol Hickel, and sons, David, Russell and Robert, all of the Colusa area; sister, Phyllis Ausk of Columbia Falls; brothers, John of Deer Lodge and Jim of south Havre; five grandchildren and many other relatives.
