MELISSA STIFFARM-BOE: Obituary

FORT BELKNAP Melissa Rae Stiffarm-Boe, 22, died Sunday, April 2, 2000 at a Billings hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Wake/Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Whip Community Center at Ft. Belknap. Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Red Whip Center with burial in the Shortman Family Cemetery at Hays.

Stiffarm-Boe was born Aug, 1, 1977 at Fort Yates, N.D. She was raised at Hays, Billings, Fort Belknap, and graduated from the Harlem High School in 1995. She attended Eastern Montana College for a year and then the Kicking Horse School at Ft. Yates for training as a dental assistant. She worked at the Fort Belknap Kwik Stop and later at the Flying J in Billings as a cashier.

Stiffarm-Boe enjoyed visiting family and friends and was a very vibrant person. She was a collector and lover of Mickey Mouse items, Mickey was on almost all her things.

Survivors include her parents, Donna and Tennyson Boe of Billings; sister, Denise LaRock of Ft. Yates; brothers, Michael Martin of Ft. Yates, Matthew Stiffarm, William Stiffarm of Ft. Belknap; godparents, Lori Martin of Porcupine, N.D., and Steve Willard of Ft. Yates; aunt and uncle, Kathryn and Doug Johnson of Ft. Belknap; goddaughter, Shaya Eagleshield; nephew, Wyman Martin, and numerous friends.
