After more than six years with the company, Havre native Jeff Lynnes has risen to the top of the Havre branch of Jerry Noble Tires.
Lynnes took over as the manager of the branch on June 1. He started as tire handler in April of 1994, moved up to brake work, then alignments, and took over as assistant manager about a year ago. Lynnes has a bachelor's degree in automotive from Montana State University-Northern.
He said his new job has pretty broad responsibilities. Lynnes said he orders tires, does billing, customer service and "trying to keep these guys (the shop's employees) in line."
Lynnes said he appreciates the support his family has given him over the years. He said both his and his wife's family have been a great help to him, and he is very grateful for the support Shannon, his wife, has given.
Lynnes said the Havre shop handles a pretty broad line of work. They sell passenger, farm and truck tires and accessories; balance, install and rotate tires; do alignments and break and shock absorber work, and do oil changes.
Lynnes said they serve customers over a broad area, ranging as far as Hays and Chinook to Kremlin and Gildford, or farther, and have customers from south of Big Sandy.
Jerry Noble Tires, based out of Great Falls, has shops in in Cut Bank and Bozeman as well as Havre.
