The Havre Comets split a doubleheader with the Great Falls Sparkies in a Northern A Legion game Wednesday afternoon.
The Comets took game one thanks in part to solid pitching from Doug Ireland and seven hits.
The Comets scored one run in the seventh inning to give the Comets a 4-3 lead.
In the bottom half of the seventh inning, Ireland shut down the Sparkies, holding them scoreless for the win.
In game two, the Comets were held to four hits and two runs as the Sparkies took game two, 9-2.
The Comets' next games will be at the Lewistown Tournament Friday through Sunday.
