CHINOOK Berwyn Brekke, 72, a Harlem native, died Friday, June 30, 2000 at his home in Orlando, Fla. of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chinook with burial in Harlem Cemetery.
Brekke was born March 28, 1928 at Harlem. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1945 and graduated from Montana State College with a degree in civil engineering.
He married Ruth Stuker on Nov. 21, 1948 in Harlem. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Brekke was a civil engineer for Texaco for 32 years.
Brekke was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Orlando; daughters, Carrie Brekke and Nancy Sedacca, both of Orlando, and Gail Elmore of Houston, Texas; son, Blair Brekke of Voorhees, N.J.; brother, Truman Brekke of Helena; sisters, Helen Thompson of Lake Side, Phyllis Heilig and Marge Hickel, both of Turner; and seven grandchildren.
Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.
