Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. has named Havre's Western Trailer and Marine Sales as winner of Fleetwood RV Circle of Excellence 2000 Customer Satisfaction Award, the ninth time the business has won the award.
"To get this trophy," owner-operator Clyde R. Thomas Jr. said, "you have to work hard at it."
Thomas said the award is given to dealers scoring 100 percent on a survey of customers conducted by an independent company for Fleetwood. He said the survey consists of about 45 questions, including ones to see how happy the customer was with the dealer, the quality of service the dealer provided and whether they felt they would shop there again.
"To get 100 percent is tough to do," Thomas said.
He said they have to strive to provide excellent service in a small community like this, to make the customer happy and pick up return business.
Western Trailer and Marine has been in business since 1961, and has been a Fleetwood RV dealer since 1968.
Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., based out of Riverside, Calif., has been in business since 1950, and has been America's largest RV manufacturer for more than 25 years.
In fiscal year 1999, Fleetwood's Recreational Vehicle Group shipped more than 80,000 RVs, representing sales of $1.91 billion. Fleetwood is currently included on the Fortune 500 listing of the nation's top corporations.
