LOLA SMITH
Lola Carol Smith, 63, died of complications from a respiratory condition Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000 at a Havre hospital.
Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial is to follow at
Highland Cemetery.
Smith was born April 8, 1937 in Devil's Lake, N.D. to Howard and Jeannette (Oliver) Rice.
Her primary education was in Doyon, where she graduated from high school. She later attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, N.D.
Smith's most recent position was as office manager at G&B Toyota. She also owned Golden Belle Hairstyling of Havre.
While attending business college, she met Lawrence J. "Mick" Smith, then of Malta. They married in 1958 in Havre.
Smith was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence J. "Mick" Smith of Havre; daughters, Mary Kay Brown of Havre and Jeannette Burrier of Kaiserslautern, Germany; son, Bert Smith of Havre; sister, Patricia Lee of Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; three granddaughters and three grandsons.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
