DENVER Leaders of the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA), the oldest youth rodeo organization in America, has appointed Todd Owens of Havre to the Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team. This team will be the first ever corporate sponsored youth rodeo team.

Other members of the Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team include Ty Murray, Joe Beaver, Dan Mortensen, Charmayne James, and Hall of Famer Jim Shoulders.

Owens earned a position on the team due to his leadership qualities, academic eligibility, and athletic achievements.

Karl Stressman, the special events manager for Wrangler Rodeo, is excited to expand the sponsorship program at the high school level.

"As always, it gives us a tremendous sense of pride to associate the Wrangler brand with promising young men and women," Stressman said. "We are confident each member of the team will be an outstanding goodwill ambassador for the sport of rodeo."

The members of the official team recieve competition apparel and a team certificate signed by rodeo greats Jim Shoulders and Ty Murray.
