FORT BELKNAP Brandon F. Guardipee, 22, died Saturday at a Fort Belknap hospital. The cause of death is under investigation.
Funeral Mass was this morning at Wath-a-tau Center. Arrangements for additional services in Browning and burial in Willow Creek Cemetery are pending.
Guardipee was born July 24, 1978 in Renton, Wash. to Lloyd Guardipee and Wanda Vielle. He was raised in Seattle. He worked on fishing boats in Alaska for a while and worked various jobs as a laborer.
He married La Litra Doney in March 1998 and they returned to Montana that July. He attended college at Pablo. In June they moved to Dodson, where he worked on the Gilbert Ranch and took computer classes at Fort Belknap.
Guardipee enjoyed running, fishing, playing basketball and taking long walks.
Survivors include his wife, La Litra Guardipee of Dodson; daughters Cyprienne Frances Guardipee of Dodson and Nia Guardipee of Bothell, Wash.; father, Lloyd Guardipee of Lake City, Wash.; mother, Wanda Vielle of Seattle; sister, Memory Guardipee of Seattle; brother, Brian Guardipee of Seattle; grandparents, Mary and Bill Griffin of Mount Vernon, Wash.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
