At last night's city council meeting, the board unanimously approved Chief of Police Kevin Olson's request to confirm Officer Terry Frandsen as a full time employee of the Havre Police Department. Frandsen recently completed one year of service for the police department.
The board also approved unanimously the promotion of George Tate to the lieutenant position, per a written request from Chief Olson.
Also discussed at last night's meeting:
Minutes from the Nov. 20 city council meeting were approved by the board;
A written request from the Koefod Agency to create a handicapped parking space for their business customers was put into the Streets and Sidewalks Committee for further discussion.
The board approved the use of City vehicles for the E.L.F food drive, which is set to take place Dec. 5-6;
The board approved Housing Project #179 for $6,900;
The board approved Resolution #3338, for the purpose of providing street lights for the Korb Addition;
The board approved Resolution #3339, a resolution transferring funds designated for the purchase of two ambulances and a defibulator/monitor from the CIP fund to the ambulance fund;
The Finance Committee, The Labor and Relations Committee, and the Streets and Sidewalks Committee gave brief reports;
The November claims and warrants issued were approved by the board.
All decisions were unanimous with all board members present. The next city council meeting is scheduled for Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. at City Hall.
