VIOLET HETTRICK
BIG SANDY Violet I. Hettrick, 89, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000 at Big Sandy nursing home of natural causes.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Connie Cranston officiating.
Hettrick was born April 10, 1911 to Harold Ray Wall and Mary (Rodaway) Wall of Eagle, Neb. She was schooled in Nebraska and graduated from Eagle High School in 1930.
She worked at State Capitol in Lincoln, Neb. until her marriage. On Nov. 17, 1945, she married James M. Hettrick in Syracuse, Neb.
After their marriage, the couple moved to the family farm northeast of Big Sandy. In 1987, they moved to Centennial Lodge in Big Sandy. In 1994, they became residents of Big Sandy nursing home.
Hettrick's hobbies included raising violets and playing cards. She was active in the Big Sandy Senior Citizens and was an active member of the Rohrer United Methodist Church in Big Sandy.
She was preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, James Hettrick, and by three brothers.
Survivors include her sister, Doris E. White of Perdum, Neb., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Rohrer United Methodist Church in Big Sandy or to a person's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
