ROBERT WANAGO
LAS VEGAS Robert Wanago, 62, died Nov. 23, 2000 of cancer at a Las Vegas hospital.
Wanago was born Sept. 26, 1938 to Joe and Regina Wanago in Havre. Went to Havre schools and graduated from Havre High School in 1956. He earned a business degree and was a vice president of First Bank Havre before taking positions as president at banks in Sidney and Williston, N.D. He also worked for several years with the Resolution Trust Co. as an examiner for the government before moving to Las Vegas.
He will be remember by his friends for his love of music. He was a guitar player and singer and enjoyed playing and singing country western songs.
He married Shirley "Bunny" Anderson Feb. 19, 1996 in Las Vegas.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Bunny; son, Jeff of Littleton, Colo.; step-children, Ricky Houston and Randy Houston of Pine River Minn., and Cindy Urbaniak of Brainard, Minn.; granddaughter, Sophia Urbaniak; sister, Irene Anderson of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Joe Wanago of Great Falls, and several nieces and nephews.
