SUNNYSIDE, Wash. Helen Urness, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000 of natural causes at a Sunnyside, Wash. nursing home.
Viewing and the funeral service were Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sunnyside.
A graveside service will be held in Havre Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Mruk of Messiah Lutheran Church officiating.
Urness was born Aug. 29, 1916 at Big Sandy to Albert and Clara (Berdahl) Larson.
On March 26, 1939, she married Vernon Byron Urness in Havre. They had several partnerships and business ventures throughout Montana and Washington. He died April 3, 1977 and she moved to Sunnyside in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Albie Larson and Lloyd Larson.
Survivors include her son, John Urness of Sunnyside, Wash.; daughter, Bonnie Miller of Mountain Home, Idaho; sister, Gladys Larson of San Jose, Calif.; brother, John Larson of Livonia, Mich.; six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Arise and Build Fund, Grandview and Taylor Ave., Sunnyside, WA 98944.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre and Smith Funeral Home of Sunnyside.
