Annual Christmas dinner set at Eagles

By Crystal Thompson

Once again Bob and Judy Sivertsen will be hosting an annual Community Christmas Dinner at the Havre Eagles Hall on Monday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day.

The dinner will begin at noon, and run until 3:30 p.m. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. Bob Sivertsen said that attendance for the Community Christmas Dinner varies year to year, usually depending on the weather. "We have anywhere from 450 to 700 plus," Sivertsen said.

The meal will consist of a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, said Sivertsen. Home deliveries will be available through the Havre Senior Center by calling 265-5464 or 265-5465.

There is no charge for the dinner, all that is required is a Christmas smile, Sivertsen said. He also said that he's lost track of how many years the dinner has been available to the Havre community, but it's a tradition he plans on continuing, regardless of the number of donations he receives. "It's a go no matter what," Sivertsen said.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the Community Christmas Dinner can stop by the Eagles club to add their name to the sign-up sheet.
