CHINOOK Rita Berneice Seaman, 70, Chinook, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at a Great Falls hospital from a heart attack.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the LDS Church in Chinook.
Seaman was born Nov. 12, 1930 in Moab, Utah to Enos John and Stella Berneice (Perkins) Beard. When she was 14, she moved to
Montana with her family. She attended school in Utah in her early years, Simms for about two years and finished her education in Chinook. She went to beautician school and was a beautician for a short time.
She married Wilburt Seaman in Havre on April 12, 1952. They moved to the farm and stayed there until moving to Chinook in 1967.
Seaman was a homemaker and operated a day care for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed working with children, crocheting, crafts and working outside with her flowers.
Seaman was an active member of the Chinook Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alfred "Bud" Beard and Clifford Beard.
Survivors include her husband, Wilburt Seaman of Chinook; daughters, Sharon MacLeod of Chinook, Beverly Pierce of Laurel and Deborah Brown of Chinook; brothers, Edward "Ted" Beard of Chinook, Steve Beard of Red Lodge and Greg Beard of South Carolina; sisters, Janice Nesslar of Havre, Norma Donis of Gettysburg, S.D. and Lois Schrader of Woods Cross, Utah; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Chinook LDS Church.
Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.
