JOHN WILLIAMS

KALISPELL John C. "Stub" Williams, 70, died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at his home in Kalispell of a long-term lung illness.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m.

Friday at Johnson Mortuary in Kalispell with Pastor Ron Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at C.E. Conrad Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Mortuary.

Williams was born Feb. 8, 1931 in Kremlin to Coleman and Sarah (Brumbaugh) Williams. He grew up in the Kremlin area and graduated from Kremlin High School.

After graduation, Williams joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He returned to Kremlin and farmed in the area for several years.

On Dec. 29, 1982, he married Barbara "Bobbie" Blouin in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

He retired from farming in 1987 for health reasons and moved with his family to Kalispell.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Williams of Kalispell; daughters, Sharon Barlow of Havre, Kathy Barlow of Tacoma, Wash., Barbara Jean Daughenbough of Corvallis, Amy Williams of Hohokus, N.J. and Nicole Mann of Kalispell; sisters, Mildred Woeppel of Lynnwood, Wash. and Bessie Doll of Missoula; brothers, Emery Williams of Ocean Park, Wash., and Lyle Williams and Carl Williams, both of Kremlin; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
