LEWISTOWN Donald C. Hruska, 73, Lewistown, died Sunday, April 22, 2001 at a Billings hospital following a short illness.
Vigil services are tonight. Liturgy will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lewistown.
Hruska was born Dec. 31, 1927 in Moore to George and Marie (Janicek) Hruska. He received his schooling at St. Leo's School in Lewistown and graduated in 1944. He then entered the U.S. Army and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
After his discharge in 1955, he returned to Montana and operated the family farm with his father.
On October 12, 1963, he married Dolores Gilskey in Lewistown. They lived at and operated the farm until his death.
Hruska enjoyed music, reading, mechanic work, speaking Bohemian and spending time with his family.
He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, served many years on the Parish Council, and served as an election clerk and as a First Aid instructor.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Hruska of Lewistown; daughters, Cathy Day of Great Falls, Vicky Hilliard of Havre and Janice Weber of Helena; sister, Betty Anderson of Lewistown; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Leo's Church or St. Jude Catholic School in Havre.
The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
