LEWISTOWN Nick Obie finished with an 83 and won the boys' individual title in a chip-off, and Havre rallied from eight strokes down after nine holes to win the team title at the Lewistown Invitational golf tournament Tuesday.
"It was extremely windy with 25-45 mile per hour winds in 40-degree temperature," Havre coach Keith Evenson said. "I was really pleased with (the boys') consistency."
Havre teammates Kevin Harada and Troy Toner each fired an 84 Harada placed fourth overall after winning the chip-off and Jason Johnstone and Trent Normandy shot an 87 and 88, respectively.
Havre placed fourth overall in the girls' tournament behind winner Billings Central, Fort Benton and C.M. Russell's junior varsity.
Jessica Sande led the Ponies with a 98 for fifth overall, and Julie Wagner shot a 102. They were followed by Katie Miller and Mikyla Veis, who each shot a 114, and Beth Anderson's 115.
