The Havre track and field team is traveling to Butte this weekend for the Central A Divisional meet Friday and Saturday.
The event will serve as a measuring stick to see just how good the Blue Ponies' chances are of winning the Class A state titles this year.
Steve Heberly is the Ponies' top sprinter, however the team is absolutely loaded with talent in running events.
Brothers Grant and Joe Roman will also seek wins in several events.
It may be points coming out of throws and jumps that determine the Pony boys' title chances.
Lashae Michels is the favorite in the long jump and triple jump, and other wild cards such as Alyssa Matter, Jen Peterson, Rylee O'Connell and Brooke Schwan will also play roles in Havre's shot at a divisional title.
Attempts by the Daily News to contact Havre coach John Ita were unsuccessful.
