Daine Solomon homered, tripled and had four RBI to lead the Havre Comets to a 13-11 win over Kootenai Valley in an American Legion baseball game at Legion Field Thursday night.
Solomon was also hit by a pitch and walked to reach base all four times he approached the plate.
Cory Junck was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Tyler Thompson hit a two-run double for Havre, which only had seven hits. The Comets, however, amassed seven walks to help produce scoring opportunities.
Steve Heberly, Bobby Bergren and Adam Jensen also drove in a run apiece for Havre.
Comets pitchers Ian Spencer and Chris Chandler were roughed up for 16 hits collectively by Kootenai.
Chandler earned the win with three innings of relief.
