HAYS Swede Michael "Top Dog" Boushie Sah-Wooh Shambo, 19, died due to a single-vehicle rollover two miles south of Hays on Montana Highway 66 June 30, 2001.
A wake was Thursday at the Charity Boushie residence in Pine Grove. Rosary services will be recited today at 6 p.m. in the St. Paul Mission Recreation Center. Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. in the St. Paul Mission Recreation Center. Burial will follow in the Lodgepole Homestead Cemetery.
Shambo was born Oct. 28, 1981 in Havre to John Shambo and Charity Boushie. He attended school at Hays/Lodgepole and went into the Job Corps at Anaconda. He was residing in Hays and at Rocky Boy.
Survivors include his mother, Charity "Deets" Boushie of Hays; father, John "J-5" Shambo of Hays; sister, Andrea "Nis" Shambo of Hays; daughters, Joy LaRae of Fort Belknap and Autumn and Sharae of Rocky Boy; grandparents, Robert and Roberta Werk of Hays, Louie and Jean Shambo of Hays; special friends, Sherry Chief Stick and Farrah Falcon; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
