KALISPELL The Havre Babe Ruth All-Star team, a squad consisting of 15-year-olds, went 2-2 at a tournament June 29-July 1.
After suffering a 9-2 loss to host Kalispell in their first game, the Havre All-Stars defeated Medicine Hat 12-4 and Butte 13-6. Havre lost to Glacier 8-6 in its final game.
In the Medicine Hat game, Levi Briese had four hits, Trent Normandy and Ben Erickson each had three, and starting pitcher Alex Chenowith added two hits.
In the win over Butte, Havre's Brandon Morse struck out seven of the 10 batters he faced to help preserve the team's win.
Chenowith recorded four hits, Normandy and Briese had three apiece, and Patch Wirtzberger, Ben Erickson, Tony Christian, Ricky Houim and Kaare Engebretson each had two.
The All-Stars will play in a district tournament in Three Forks from July 13-15.
