FORT BELKNAP Sharon Ann Cochran, 56, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at a Great Falls hospital of liver failure.
Wake services will begin at 5 p.m. today at the home of Myrna Cochran on Three Mile, south of the agency at Fort Belknap. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cochran home, with interment following in the Harlem Cemetery.
Cochran was born May 25, 1925 at Fort Belknap. She was raised at Fort Belknap and Everett, Wash. and attended school at Everett and Seattle.
She moved back to Fort Belknap in the mid 1960s and worked as a housekeeper for different motels in Montana. In 1968, she started her family with Roddy Shawl. She lived in Great Falls off and on for many years.
Cochran was preceded in death by a son, Michael Shawl, in 1970.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Shawl and Holly Shawl of Fort Belknap; son, Josh Cochran of Dodson; mother and stepfather, Ruby and Robert Cochran of Everett; sister, Delores Campbell of Dodson; brothers, Michael Campbell of Valier, and Bobby Shoemaker, Dale Shoemaker and Rory Shoemaker, all of Everett.
Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
