John F. Bachini, 73, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at his home in Havre of natural causes.
A vigil and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at st. Jude Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial is to
follow at the Highland Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather after the burial at a luncheon to be held at the St. Jude Social Hall.
Bachini was born Aug. 15, 1928 in Havre to Oscar and Elia Bachini. He graduated from Havre High School in 1947.
On Sept. 27, 1958, he married Joan Harbeck in Havre. He co-owned and operated Bachini's Conoco from 1946 to 1950. In 1950, he began work as an electrician with Havre Electric. He retired after 35 years in 1985.
Bachini was member of the Eagles and lifetime member of the Elks. He was active in Havre sports and enjoyed hunting, traveling, playing cards and the family cabin. He was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven in 1974; parents in 1982; sister, Rose D'Hooge in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Bachini; daughters, Mary Jo Bachini, Ventura, Calif., Susan Nall of Grand Junction, Colo., Carol Bachini-Wood of Havre, Jane Henderson of Havre, and Jody Bachini of Missoula; brother, Frank Bachini; sisters, Mary Guza and Irene Hanning; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
