MALTA Iverneia Helena (Cookingham) Abrahamson Lindale, 95, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at her home in Malta of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Adams Memorial Chapel with burial in the Malta Cemetery.
Lindale was born to Germain and Zelma
(Nilsson) Cookingham on Feb. 21, 1906, at Chicago, Ill. She moved to Montana in 1916 while she was a young child, along with her parents, brothers and sisters. She attended school the Belding School in Chicago and the Pleasant View School in Phillips County.
She married John A. Abrahamson in 1923 at Malta and raised a family of seven children. He died on Sept. 10, 1954. She married James B. Lindale on Jan. 8, 1958, in Ogden, Utah. They moved back to Montana in 1966. She made her home in Malta at that time and stayed. He died on Jan. 5, 1983.
Lindale loved small animals, her flowers, quilt making, crocheting, knitting and fancy needle work, puzzles and visiting with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, oldest son, Wallace E. Abrahamson in 1994, and six grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Willard, Warren R. and William H. Abrahamson, all of Malta, and Wendell A. Abrahamson of Ronan; daughters Lillian M. Tempel of Chester, Marian J. Gilmore of Chinook; 25 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
