Highland Park School has set a meeting for parents of kindergarten and first-grade students to answer questions the parents might have about the newly organized early primary school.
Principal Lisa Stroh said Ginger Zanto, director of transportation for the Havre public school district, will be in the school gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to answer questions about transportation issues for the early primary students.
At 7 p.m., the parents can meet their children's teachers in the individual classrooms. Stroh said the meetings will be over by 7:30 p.m.
The elementary schools were reorganized last spring under the district's restructuring plan, implemented in response to declining enrollment and budgets. Devlin Elementary School was closed and the other schools were restructured so all kindergarten and first-graders attend Highland Park, second- and third-graders will attend Lincoln-McKinley Primary School and fourth- and fifth-graders will attend Sunnyside Intermediate School.
The Havre School Board approved the restructuring plan April 10.
