KATHRYN BUTLER, Obituary

CHINOOK Kathryn A. Butler, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian Church in Chinook, with burial to follow in Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

Butler was born Nov. 16, 1921, at Snake Creek Ranch south of Chinook to Finlay and Isabel MacArthur. She attended schools in Chinook and graduated from Chinook High School.

She married Paul Butler in Chinook on June 22, 1941.

Butler was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women's Group and Eagles Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Blaine County Museum and Chinook Senior Citizens Center.

Her hobbies included knitting, family activities, and walking with her sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Butler of Chinook; daughters, Shelly Butler and Deborah Collette, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kelly Bloxham of Twin Falls, Idaho, Peggy Albrecht of Spokane, Wash., Linda Depner and Cheri Butler, both of Seattle; sons, William Butler of San Francisco, Richard Butler of Boise, Idaho, Donald Butler of Bellingham, Wash.; brother, Jim MacArthur of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Anne Dannis, Pat Holman, Jean Erickson and Mocky Donis, all of Chinook; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Chinook.
