Mainard L. Walls, 70, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at a Great Falls care facility of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Havre Eagles Club.
Walls was born Dec. 2, 1930, to Elba L. and Irene
(Davis) Walls in Big Sandy. His parents homesteaded west of Box Elder.
In 1952, Walls married Mary E. Rand in Spokane, Wash. They lived in Spokane while he worked for the government in civil service. They later divorced.
He married Shirley Campbell in 1973 and they later divorced.
Walls remained on the family farm until 1985, when he moved to Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and took a job as a truck driver for a construction company. In 1991, he retired and returned to Hill County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Survivors include his daughters, Daniece Walls and Mavis Walls, both of Spokane, Wash.; son, Dathan Walls of Rocky Boy; brother, Gaylord Walls of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a person's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
