HARLEM Brad Lee Bishop, 25, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Wake and rosary were scheduled for 7 p.m. today at the Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harlem High
School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in the Harlem Cemetery.
Bishop was born July 3, 1976, at Fort Belknap Agency to Calvin "Pete" Bishop and Debbie Olson. He grew up in Harlem, attended Harlem Elementary School, and graduated from Harlem High School in 1994.
He began wrestling when he was six years old and continued on throughout high school, qualifying for the state championships three years in a row. The capstone of his career was winning the Montana State High School wrestling championship in 1994 at 119 lbs. He later went on to coach the Harlem Wildcat wrestling team, with his former coach and mentor Lyle Faulkinberry.
In 1993, he met his future wife, Clarissa. They spent eight years together.
Bishop helped run his father's contracting business for eight years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling to Billings and vacationing in Whitefish.
He is survived by his wife, Clarissa Bishop of Harlem; children, Jaidyn Kylynn and Kolton John, both of Harlem; parents, Calvin "Pete" Bishop of Fort Belknap and Debbie Olson of Billing; sister, MaKyla Bishop of Billings; brother, Michael Bishop of Reno, Nev.; grandmother, Gwen Bishop of Dodson; five aunts; three uncles. He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Irene Olson, and paternal grandfather, Mervin Bishop.
