Duane A. Due, 64, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, in Pierre, S.D., after a short illness.
Visitation begins at noon Wednesday, with rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pierre. Interment will be at St. Pierre.
Due was born Oct. 8, 1936, in Bottineau, N.D. to Joseph J. and Laverne (Kyle) Due. He grew up around the Willow City and Bottineau, N.D. area.
He married Virginia Dahl on June 30, 1954, at Willow City, N.D. They lived in the Bottineau area, where he farmed and worked part time in the oil fields, until moving to Montana in 1961. He worked in the oil fields in Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota from 1961 to his retirement in 1998.
Due was active in the Eagles Lodge in Havre until he moved to Pierre in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Due; sons, Wayne, Kenny and Kelly; daughter, Cyndi; parents; twin brother, Wayne.
Survivors include his daughters, Theresa Broski of Pierre, S.D., Mary Graham of Billings, and LuAnn Prellwitz of Willow City, N.D.; sisters, Dolly Schoonover of Roulette, N.D., Lorraine Peterson of Dunseith, N.D., Helen Petersen of Mohall, N.D., Marian Nerpel of Dunseith, N.D., and Joann Vigness of Alexander, N.D.; brother, Morris Due of Wellington, Colo., many nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
