The American spirit is alive at Havre Middle School. Students are collecting donations for the relief efforts for the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. A flag with the donor's name printed below it will be posted in the foyer of the Middle School with every donation. The flags line the suspended ceiling of the foyer.
The Student Council's community service committee, decorating committee and officers are taking donations at the school between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Donations will also be collected at games. The flags were donated by the VFW club in Havre. Cheryl Schaub donated her time to paint the windows of the school with patriotic symbols.
Meanwhile, several Havre residents are organizing a community run/walk to raise money for the relief effort and are inviting the entire community and surrounding communities to participate.
