CHINOOK John L. Gorman, 76, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at a Havre hospital due to cancer.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be sent to a donor's choice.
John was born March 31, 1925, in Chinook to Donel and Emma (Neimiller) Gorman. He attended schools in Chinook and served four years in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II.
John married Margaret Mary Monroe on July 27, 1946, in Chinook.
He worked in the oil fields, was a local carpenter and drove school bus for many years.
After retiring, John stayed active as a a local handyman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Gorman in 1973; sisters, Evelyn, Marion and Dorothy Gorman; brothers, Leonard, Douglas and Harold Gorman.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Chinook; daughters, Barbara Clark of North Platte, Neb., Donna Jasnoch of Loup City, Neb., Terrie Gorman of Chinook, and Debra Anderson of El Paso, Texas; sons, Johnnie Gorman, Jr. of Harlem and Daniel Gorman of Chinook; sisters, Pauline Leo and Deanie Zarn , both of Chinook, Loretta Coyner and Ruth Gallup, both of Toppanish, Wash., Joan Lamey of Havre; brothers, Donel Gorman of Oregon and Jim Gorman of Cut Bank; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
