MESA, Ariz. Dorothy Hodgdon, 98, formerly of Havre, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in Mesa, Ariz., of natural causes.
Dorothy was born Aug. 16, 1903, in Bloomer, Wis., to Ellen (Tealey) and Joseph Langel. The family homesteaded 21 miles north of Rudyard in 1913, where she grew up.
Dorothy married Clifford Hodgdon in 1928 and they farmed in the Rudyard community. Later years, they moved to Havre, where Clifford worked for the Great Northern Railway and the government agriculture program until retirement. They retired to West Glacier and Mesa, where Clifford passed away in 1975.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters, Blanche Langel and Tracie Starks, and brothers, Henry, Robert, Arnold and Ted Langel.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
