GREAT FALLS The Havre Syntech Ice Hawks PeeWee team already has three games under their belt and are looking to grab another win this weekend at home.
The season started stong on Nov. 11 for the Havre team, facing the Great Falls PeeWees and winning 6-3. Michael Erickson had an outstanding game as goalie, saving 57 attempts that came his way.
Andrew Linquist scored one goal in the game assisted by Troy Williams. Tyler Boyce added two goals, one assisted by Willy Schilling and one unassisted, and also assisted a goal by Willy Schilling. Todd Roe and David Zentmire each scored one goal to cap the scoring by Havre. Both goals were unassisted.
Hoping to start a winning streak of more than one game, the Syntech Ice Hawks took to the road to face the same Great Falls PeeWee team last Saturday for a doubleheader.
In the first game, Havre led 3-1 after the first period, but ending up falling to Great Falls 5-4. Great Falls scored the winning goal on a deflected shot with 1:05 remaining in the game. Havre was out-shot in the game 42-29.
Tyler Boyce, Todd Roe, Brad Hanson and Willy Schilling each scored a goal in the game. Roe's and Schilling's were unassisted, while Andrew Lindquist assisted Boyce's and Roe assisted Hanson's.
Goalie David Zentmire saved 37 attempts for Havre.
Game two of the doubleheader saw the game end in a tie, 3-3.
Brad Hanson scored the tying goal with just over five minutes left in the third period. Hanson's goal was assisted by Tyler Boyce. Boyce also added a goal of his own, assisted by Willy Schilling and Chase Hanson. Troy Williams scored the other Havre goal, which was unassisted.
The Havre Syntech Ice Hawks next games are 1 p.m. Saturday against Butte and 9 a.m. Sunday, also against Butte. Both games will be played at the Havre Ice Dome.
