The Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder annual Christmas Turkey Shoot was held Sunday at the Hill County Shooting Range with 22 shooters participating in the afternoon event.
The weather conditions were good with a slight breeze to add to the above normal temperatures. The event drew shooters from Chinook, Moore, Great Falls, Michigan and Medicine Hat, as well as the locals.
Winners in the six events are listed below (X indicated a bullseye):

50-yard X-sticks 1. Randy Owens, Havre, 48X; 2. Roger Hanson, Michigan, 45XX; 3. Jon Molitor, Havre, 44.
100-yard X-sticks 1. Mike Hanson, Michigan, 34; 2. Dave Thompson, Havre, 29X; 3. Clyde Byerly, Great Falls, 29.
100-yard BP cartridge 1. Dave Thompson, Havre, 37; 2. Jared Maddox, Chinook, 35; 3. Clyde Byerly, Great Falls, 34.

The payout for the events were frozen turkeys with a stipulation that no one could win more than one turkey, keeping in the holiday spirit, the sixteen birds were spread amongst those participating.
