FORT BELKNAP Audrey Faye Lawrence, 50, a homemaker, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at a Great Falls hospital of heart failure.
A wake is 5 p.m. today at Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap. Her funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Red Whip Center, with burial in Pony Hill Cemetery in Fort Belknap.
Audrey was born May 4, 1951, in Helena and attended Havre High School
and the University of Montana. She worked at a day care center and for the last 12 years as a teacher's aide at Harlem Elementary School.
She enjoyed family gatherings, bingo and Yahtzee. She spoke the Assiniboine language fluently and was proud of her heritage.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Millard and Rosie Weasel, and a brother, Myron Weasel.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth LaMere and stepfather, Louis Lamere of Fort Belknap; sons, Stuart Lawrence and Millard Weasel of Fort Belknap; sisters, Aletha Lawrence of Harlem, Karen "Beak" Lawrence, Ippy Lawrence and Jackie "Chum" Lawrence, all of Fort Belknap; brothers, Alvin "Dobie" Weasel of Omaha, Neb., Eugene Weasel, Jon Weasel, and Elliot LaMere, all of Fort Belknap; three grandchildren.
Edwards Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
