JOHN FRIESEN
MISSOULA John D. Friesen, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at a Missoula nursing home of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at Manchester Cemetery at a date to be announced later.
Friesen was born Jan. 1, 1915 at Coal Coulee.
He married Betty Jane Haymaker in Chester on Dec. 7, 1944. They divorced in 1959.
Friesen lived in Havre, Great Falls and Simms. He served in the Army from Sept. 12, 1940 to April 21, 1944. He then worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a freight car inspector in Great Falls.
His hobbies and interests were cars. He loved his parents, children, brother and sisters.
Friesen was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kenneth Friesen.
Survivors include his daughters, Charlene Friesen of Seattle and Darlene Friesen of Tucson, Ariz.; son, Richard Friesen of Missoula; sisters, Sarah Keithcart of Cascade, Marie Evans and Annie Madison, also of Montana; brother, Pete Friesen.
