Havre set to host Fort Benton, Glasgow

By Jason Shoot

The Havre boys basketball team will get a chance to fine tune itself this weekend with two non-league affairs against Fort Benton and Glasgow at the Havre High gym.

Havre will host Fort Benton tonight at 7:30 p.m., and will face Glasgow Saturday, also at 7:30 p.m.

The Blue Ponies are currently 2-7 in the Central A standings, seventh out of eight schools.

The Ponies have nine seeding points in the Central A and have half a season remaining to try to close the gap between themselves and Lewistown, Anaconda and Belgrade.

Those schools are ranked in the first three spots just ahead of Havre, and the Ponies received some help when Butte Central beat Anaconda 65-47 Thursday night.

Junior Titus Pedraza leads Havre with 11 points and 10.4 rebounds a game. Corey Brothers is averaging 8.6 points per contest.
