Students and their family and friends were at St. Jude Thaddeus School's Dance and Family Affair Saturday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 11 p.m. in the school gymnasium and community center.
"Our primary purpose is just to have a good time," Principal Therese Cowdery said.
She said she thinks there were between 200-300 people at the dance.
Music was provided by Sax Cadillac, consisting of St. Jude music teacher Kirt Miller and Dick Miller and Raymond Miller. Students from the school joined the band throughout the night for featured performances.
There were also concessions, with the Havre Central Booster Club providing refreshments including nachos, pretzels, pizza, candy and drinks; the Home and School organization ran a silent auction, had a costume-box set up for people to take pictures in and had a 50-50 raffle; the Alumni Association provided door prizes and the school board manned the door at the event. Cowdery said all organizations at the school were involved in the dance.
The Home and School decorated for the event, including putting up paper snowflakes students of the school had made for the dance.
The dance closed out St. Jude's celebration of National Catholic Schools week, Jan. 28 through Feb. 3.
