With the Central A Divisional volleyball tournament just
two weeks away, Havre will get a chance to see just how it
stacks up when Lewistown and Browning visit the Ponies' gym
Saturday.
Havre (2-5 league, 7-10 overall) will get quite a test
from Lewistown, first in the Central A North with a 7-1
record in league play. Browning is 0-6 in the Central A and
0-12 overall.
Havre will host Lewistown around 11:30 a.m. Saturday,
followed by Lewistown against Browning. Havre will then
close out the triangular against Browning.
Lewistown is led by Lindsay Garcia, who is tops in the
Central A with 4.16 kills per game half a kill better than
the next closest athlete. Garcia also averages .56 blocks
per game, sixth in the league.
Havre setters Samantha Velk (4.75 assists per game) and
Laura Hedstrom (2.51) are ranked seventh and eighth,
respectively, in the Central A.
Amy Ranes provides the Ponies with a presence at the net
with .54 blocks per game, seventh in the league.
Havre is also second in the Central A in serve percentage
(90.1), behind only Livingston's
