Hi-Line talent will be featured at Big Sandy roundup

Some area performers will be featured at the Seventh Annual Montana Storytelling Roundup at the Cut Bank High School on April 27-28.

The roundup, titled "Galloping across the west," begins at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27 with "Storytellers/Musicians/Artists in Review" at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, with a jam session to follow. The Saturday sessions run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a free kid's program from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The performers and events at the roundup include Ken Overcast, National Yodeler of the year; Wylie Gustafson of Wylie and the Wild West Show; Dena Tippets, Kim Callahan and Mavis Filler, The Timely Trio, and the Native American Dancers of the Browning Public Schools.

There will be Chautaugua performances by Jack Smith, Taussaint Charbonneau; Ritchie Doyle, Teddy Blue: The reality of a Montana Cowpuncher, and Thomas G. Satterly, Fire in the Mine: The Granite Mountain/Speculator Mine Fire, Butte Plus.

Storytellers will include Susie Wiseheart, Southern Storyteller; Ryan Taylor, "Cowboy Logic" Roper; David Walburn, West for America "Lewis & Clark;" Beth Sorensen, Wildlife returns; Hampstead Player, Play "Secret Garden;" Bonnie Jo Hunt, Native American Opera Singer; J. R. Strand, Cowboy Poet and Singer; Glacier Institute, Wildlife series; William Rossiter, Songs from a House Divided: The Musical Legacy of the Civil War, and Denny Olson, Earth War Nature/comedy performances "The Critter Man."

Tim Joyner will be featured as an artist on stage, with a drawing for an original painting. The professional art show will include the Montana Committee for the Humanities, Seeds of Change & Albert Einstein; the Montana Magazine Art Display, at Glacier County Historical Museum, and a student art exhibition at Cut Bank High School.

Prices for the All Session Tickets are $10 for adults, $15 for family and $5 for student.
